As Class Magic Items
Some D&D B/X magic items which borrow class features.
Crown of Authority
The wearer is able to build a stronghold regardless of their level. If removed the stronghold is marked for ruin and will soon be hit by natural disasters, monster raids, mutinies, etc.
Regardless of their actual social status, the wearer is regarded as a noble of some import. Other nobles may save versus spells to avoid this effect.
Shield of St. Callistus (+1)
The wielder is able to turn undead as a Cleric of equal level.
The wielder must be lawful. Neutral wielders suffer 1d6 damage per round and chaotic wielders suffer 2d6 damage per round.
Ring of Vitality
The wearer saves vs Death/Poison as a Dwarf of equal level.
Regardless of their sex and race, the wearer starts growing a beard.
Sylvan Chainmail (+1)
The wearer is immune to the paralyzing effect of ghouls' attacks. Weighs 200 coins (half that of normal chainmail armor).
The wearer is never attacked by woodland animals unprompted.
Cloak of Concealment
In woods or undergrowth, the wearer can hide with a 90% chance of success.
In dungeons, the wearer can hide in normal lighting conditions with a 2-in-6 chance of success. There must be some form of cover (e.g. shadows) and the wearer must remain motionless and silent.
Regardless of their height, the wearer never appears as the tallest in a group of three or more.
Reading Glasses of Ambroise the Magnificent
The wearer is able to use magic scrolls as if they were a Magic-User and can cast Read Magic once per day.
Regardless of their intelligence, the wearer is able to read and write their native languages. Regardless of their charisma, the wearer looks like a total nerd.
Sticky Finger Gloves
The wearer is able to climb sheer surfaces and pick pockets as a Thief of equal level.
Once per day, the wearer is able to pick a pocket in their line of sight by reaching into their own pocket. Pick pocket roll is made as normal.
